Letters of Acceptance

For the first time in history there had been six U.S. Presidents alive at the same time. Each of them personally accepted a signed Presidential Inaugural American Highrise print as a gift from Richard. Left to right: President Bush, Reagan, Carter, Ford and Nixon. President Clinton, not pictured, has also accepted a print.

American Highrise reached another milestone in history when President George W. Bush became the seventh American President to accept the same piece of art. Added significance is that the image commemorated his father's Bicentennial Inaugural in 1989. Not since John Adams and John Quincy Adams has a father and son served as American Presidents.
It has been important to Mr. Clark that he gift signed pieces of American history to distinguished individuals and significant institutions across America and around the world. The roster now has several Nobel Peace Prize winners. Iron Eyes Cody who was the symbol of the Keep America Beautiful ads accepted American Highrise on behalf of the American Indian tribes.
